Formula
For centimeter inputs, CBM per carton equals length x width x height divided by 1,000,000. For inch inputs, the calculator first converts inches to centimeters. Air-express volumetric weight is estimated as length x width x height divided by 5,000 when dimensions are in centimeters.
Practical example
A carton measuring 50 x 40 x 30 cm has 0.06 CBM. For 50 cartons, total volume is about 3.00 CBM. The same carton has an air-express volumetric weight estimate of 12 kg, so if the actual gross weight is also 12 kg, the chargeable weight is roughly 12 kg per carton before carrier-specific rules.
